  • Sustainable Aviation Fuel Project, US: advising lenders on a commercial-scale sustainable aviation fuel plant to be developed in the US.
  • Green Ammonia Facilities, Spain: advising the co-developers in relation to green ammonia to hydrogen conversion facilities to be developed in Spain.
  • Green fuel projects, Middle East: advising JBIC on a US$3 billion financing agreement with ADNOC for energy efficiency projects in the Middle East, including green fuels. 
  • Sustainable biofuel, US: advising Alder Fuels, a cleantech company, on its joint venture with United and Honeywell to create one of the largest sustainable biofuel ventures in aviation history and its associated purchase agreement with United for the sale and purchase of 1.5 billion gallons of sustainable aviation fuel.*
 
 
  • Delfzijl (DSL-01) Sustainable Aviation Fuel Plant, Netherlands: advising the project company on a sustainable aviation fuel plant being developed by SkyNRG, including the structuring, financing, and all construction, feedstock supply and offtake arrangements.
  • Renewable fuels, US: advising Marathon Petroleum Corp. on the formation of a joint venture with Neste to convert Marathon’s idled refinery in Martinez, California into a 730 million gallons per year renewable fuels facility. The multi-year project is structured as a 50/50 joint venture with Neste expected to contribute a total of US$1 billion, inclusive of half of the total projected project development costs through the completion of the project.*
  • EcoOils, Australia: advising Shell in relation to its acquisition of EcoOils, which produces spent bleaching earth oil, an internationally recognised biofuels feedstock that can be used to produce low carbon fuels.

  • Biogas and biomethane platform, Germany: advising Partners Group, acting on behalf of its clients, on the acquisition of a leading biogas and biomethane energy platform in Germany from Energiedenker GmbH & Co. KG. The platform operates a 60 MW portfolio of 35 biogas plants and 10 biomethane plants across northeast Germany.
  • Future Biogas, UK: advising 3i Infrastructure on its acquisition of Future Biogas, the largest biomethane producer in the UK and currently operates 11 biogas plants. European Renewable Energy Deal of the Year 2023, IJInvestor Awards.
  • Bioethanol project, Hungary: advising SEKAB Svenks Etanolkemi AB’s Hungarian affiliate on the development and project finance of one of the first Hungarian bioethanol projects with attached biofuel energy centres in several locations in Hungary.
